Printing

Hi- I was wondering if anyone had any reviews/experiences with any printing services, either in CT or online. I am going to need to have my invitations printed, along with some other items for the tables. I've looked into Cards and Pockets and I've gotten a quote from an Etsy seller who designed the materials, but was wondering if anyone else had any ideas of where I could have these items printed?

Thanks!

Re: Printing

  • Vistaprint will often allow you to upload your own design to a blank document, and then print it. You have to fiddle a little with the resolution (it should be 4x the size to look right on the printed document) but I think it would be worth it, especially since they often have sales and Groupons.
  • Agreed, Vistaprint is great for uploading your own design, and I've even used Staples printing center. We did our save the dates on photoshop and had Staples print them on 5x7 glossy paper. Super easy and cheap. As for invitations, I did mine through a stationery shop, so I'm not sure they would let you bring your own design and print it through them. But if you're looking for a place where you can choose a pre-designed invitation, I recommend The Write Approach in Woodbridge. GL!

  • I would recommend going through the Etsy seller who designed them.
  • I use Vistaprint all the time, but I don't know that the quality is what I'd want for my invitations.  I did do my STD magnets with them, and they turned out great.  I also use them for business cards and postcards for my business, and they're fine for that.   I had Cards & Pockets print my invites, and it was a great experience.  They make the process really easy and the quality was fabulous.  The pricing was very reasonable too.

  • I suggest contacting Dustin at ABCO the paperman. He is amazing and his prices are ridiculous. He is based out of North Haven, runs his own business, and always calls me back quickly. Here is his information: http://www.abcothepaperman.com/  You will not be disappointed and you can call and talk to the person printing your invites whenever you want. Tell him Corey from Albertus sent you! He will hook you up!! I work with him a lot at my job.
  • Thanks for the help everyone! :-)
