What did you get your fiance...

The day of the wedding? Is anyone not doing this?  I'm stumped. He has everything! I would like to do something that is more sentimental. Any ideas?

We are saving to buy a house so we are not doing major gifts. I ordered him a grooms cake for the wedding.

DH and I didn't get each other anything. We paid for most of the wedding on our own and didn't feel like it was necessary to get each other anything else.

FI loves to play guitar so I got him a custom/handmade sterling silver guitar pick that has both of our nicknames and our wedding date on it.

Ditto with the Bpics! Cannot wait--totally want to book with Raw too! He also LOVES watches--so I was thinking of getting him a really nice watch & engrave something really nice on the inside! That is just what I am thinking of for now! :)

Since we're paying for half of the wedding money will be tight so we're just going to give each other something small. I might get him something inexpensive from Harley Davidson since he's very much into his bike.

We are paying for the wedding ourselves (well FI is working the most OT because he can get more then I can) so I want to get him something special.  I was thinking a nice watch.  I have Santa Certificates from Kay, so when I go to get his wedding band, I might pick up a watch too & have it engraved.  I should probably add that to my list of things to do over the next few weeks!

I also did b-pics with Raw Photo. They came out AMAZING! I can't wait to give the book to FI. The funny thing is I told him not to get me anything since we're mostly paying for the wedding and HM ourselves. So he's going to be shocked! :0)

My DH bought his tux (he had to wear it in my sister's wedding the year before) so I bought him engraved cuff links with his initials.

We bought these books called What I Love About You by Kate and David Marshall. Each page has questions or activities that you answer/fill out and they all have to do with why you love the person you're filling it out about. We're going to give them to each other as our wedding gifts since we're also, like many, planning on a budget! :)

I'm planning to get him a nice watch...he's not the kind of guy to wear any jewelry (other than his wedding ring), but he loves watches, so I thought it would be perfect.

were paying for the wedding ourselves no extra cash for gifts.. thought about a groomscake and mentioned it to him he thought it was an extension to the actual wedding cake like an arm or something...  I dont understand where this tradition came from and it really makes no sense to me why give each other gifts were getting married and celebrating being husband and wife, finding that special someone in this great green earth is gift enough for me. I have many single friends who would appreciate this gift.
I did think about doing sexy pics for him but y bother when i can get all dressed up for him and he can enjoy the real thing... just my opinion.. good luck

  • I got him a pair of those "In case you get Cold Feet" socks.  I will give it to him the night before our wedding, with a lovey letter to him.  I am going to get his wedding ring engraved and I an having our wedding vows engraved on wood. (This will also be a surpise).

  • We really have a full house and not anything we really need.  I was going to set up a "honeymoon fund" and list some suggestions for gift cards...(We are traveling out of state for our wedding"  Is it alright to list cash as an option for a gift as long as I have these other items listed?
