dress and flower colors - opinions please!

So I am starting to meet with some florists and realizing I need to start making decisions for my bm dress colors and flower colors in order to get price proposals. I LOVE purple and definitely want it in the wedding. I also like bright colors and am having a summer (Aug/2013) wedding. have been tossing around other color ideas such as yellow, green, pink, silver/gray, and various shades of purple to complement a bright purple.
I'd love your opinions on what you think would look best. I don't really have a theme per say but I am getting married at Cascade and want it to be romantic/elegant.

    silver is such a good neutral, so it would be nice for the bridesmaids in that they could wear them again.

    I agree with toomany. Gray is so easy to pair with brightly colored flowers & the girls could easily wear the dresses again.

    I personally love bright colors and I think they're great for a summer wedding, so I voted Purple Dresses with the pop colors :)

    I'm doing purple (Lilac) dresses with champagne sashes (my dress is champagne) and I'm going to do purple, pink, and ivory flowers.

    This - bright colored dresses are awesome for summer weddings and look really good in your pictures :)  We went with Jim Heljm's "magenta" color which is a good mix between a pink and purple and are doing all purple/green/pink flowers.  Purple and silver are my wedding colors also.  Great color scheme!
