Lia Sophia

I went to a bridal show in March where there was a Lia Sophia consultant.  I booked a party but communication was terrible so I ended up cancelling it and booking it with somebody my cousin knows.  Well, I had the party on Friday and it was a HUGE success!!! I didn't have too many girls, maybe 15 (mostly family).  My mom and my godmother ended up booking parties to help me get my host credits.  I ended up with about $900 worth of jewelry for just over $100.  My consultant even called me the next day saying that she did some reconfiguring and I still needed to spend $35.

Now, the reason I am telling you this.....I got all 5 of my bridesmaids necklaces (originally $98 each) and 2 flower girls necklaces along with some other stuff for myself and a bracelet for FMIL for Christmas that she loved at the bridal show.  It is definitely worth it if you like their jewelry.  Also, it works out for your guests because for every 3 items you buy, the most expensive is 50% off.  It is also a lifetime guarantee so if you buy something and simply decide you don't like it you can return it anytime with no questions asked.

DISCLAIMER:  I am not a Lia Sophia consultant and I am not affiliated with them in any way.  I wanted to share this because I am usually skeptical of those house party things, but I got such a great deal.

I love Lia Sophia.. or at least, I used to.  I say "used to" because a girlfriend of mine had a party.. then another had a party, and another.. and before I knew it I had bought more LS jewelry than I needed/wanted (but you have to buy *something* when you go to these things).  Hahah if I don't go to another LS party for 10 years that'll be ok by me :)  But yes, you can get some amazing deals.

I hosted a Lia Sophia party years ago with one of my friends.  We all were really into it and I used to love their jewelry until the ring I got turned my finger green!  Besides the ring I had gotten a necklace and earrings.  The "silver" earrings chipped all the silver off and tarnished. Their jewelry is fun and looks good in the short term but definitely doesn't last and isn't the best quality.

I have to agree with this.  One of my best friends used to be a Lia Sophia consultant.  I think some of their stuff is super cute, but she always told me that it's fun costume jewelry (only silver and gold plated), and that's it... it's not jewelry that's going to last for forever and she even said that they charge too much for a lot of it and their gimmick is getting you to buy multiple pieces to get a discount.  I have to say though that I really do like some of their designs, and if you host a party that sells well you get enough credit to get a nice amount.  I find that you can get some similar stuff on etsy though that's genuine gemstones and real sterling silver for comparable prices, if not less.  I was also invited to another jewelry party recently that had the SAME exact jewelry marketed with a different name.  I think both companies probably get their pieces from the same manucturer in China or someplace.

The best part about Lia Sophia is that they will take it back and exchange it for the same piece or any other piece at anytime if something happens. I have had a necklace for 3 years and it started to chip. I got out the reciept (you have to have it) called them and they sent me a brand new one for free!

I bought my BM's their jewelery too from Lia Sophia. They both wear silver but wanted them to wear gold. So I gave them their reciepts and after the wedding they used their jewelery like gift cards and got what they wanted. It was a good price and it's waranteed forever as I stated before.
