Help!! Photographer needed

What is the average price these days for a good photographer? My budget is pretty tight for a photographer but I know the saying "u get what u pay for" I don't want to be disappointed. Can anyone recommend a resonably priced photographer. I'm basically just looking for full day coverage a cd with my pics on them.

We were also on a budget, I don't know what your budget is, but our photographer is Eric Brushett! He is very budget friendly and is amazing!!!! He has all kinds of packages to choose from, and FI and I booked him  right after we met with him. We love his style, and he makes you feel so comfortable.

I think a lot of price depends on the couple, their budget, and their needs. It seems like you have prioritized what you want (coverage of the day and the rights to the images) which I think it the best strategy. You can find photographers for $1,500, but like you said, you get what you pay for. My friend used a very 'reasonable' photographer and her photos were horrible. He over processed the photos to make up for what he could not do with his bad camera gear. It was honestly a nightmare.

Your photos are one of the only things that you will have after the day. Try and find a photographer that has a style you really like and go from there. I think most photographers are flexible. I think $2,500 - $3,000 is reasonable for a talented, artistic, professional photographer, but that is just my opinion.

I'm using LT Photography (out of Wallingford) and to me they are very budget friendly ($2500 for my package).  But, it also depends on what you consider "budget friendly"  Good Luck!

We are using Eric Brushett as well! Very reasonably priced!

Also check out johnlophoto.com His prices do start at $1500 but his work is amazing. You do get what you pay for, but in his case, you are getting a lot for a little!

Max Aureli is another great option!

I'm also an Eric Brushett bride and would definitely recommend looking at his work. When I was looking I also talked to Max Aureli and heard very good things about him as well.

He's not exactly "budget" but Jerome at Studio 1923 is an amazing photographer and an amazing person. He's well worth every penny I spent on him- he not only takes photos but he helps out the day off with little things (like grabbing DH's jacket for our first dance). I highly recommend him!

We are using Hopkins Studio out of Milford. We are paying $2300 which includes an album, engagment setting, disc of all photos, 11x14 photo and first family photo. They have been great to work with. We have the middle of the road package, so if your budget is lower they have other choices. I would totally contact them.

I didn't pay for either of my photographers but I ended up with 2. Long story on why that happened. But they were both fantastic. Michelle Ferro ferrophoto.com and jerry angelica who you can find on Facebook. I know they were both very well priced.

I just booked Photography by Krista, basically she's a girl who just started a couple of years ago so her packages are VERY affordable, but since starting out she has done many weddings and the photos I've seen and her references are all great!  She also works as a second shooter for a larger photo studio and gets additional experience that way.  Check out www.ctphotographybykrista.com or you can look her up on Facebook.   Can't totally vouch for her yet since our wedding hasn't happened yet but if my photos look like the ones she's got on her website i'll be happy!  $3000 for photography just was NOT in my budget.
