So Stressed to find 'the DRESS' -- CT Bridal Shop Suggestions?

Hey Ladies!

So I'm now at the 8 month mark till the wedding and I still haven't found my dress!! I know if I want to order from certain designers I'm running out of time - AH!!!  I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on which shops in the CT area have the best selection??? I've been to Mariella's and Harold's and I've found one top potential (its an Blue by Enzoani) but I'd like to hunt a little more before making up my mind! Did anyone go down to NYC and was it worth it?

Not sure where in CT you are, but I went to Pearl's Bridal Boutique (Holyoke, MA) a few weeks ago to look at bridesmaid dresses.  It was probably one of the nicest stores I've been in, and I've been in A LOT lately!

Michele bridal Boutique in Westbrook is really cute store and has some pretty dresses, they also carry enzoani dresses which I love!

I bought from them over mariella's because the customer service is amazing, no pressure and they give you all the time you need to fuss over dresses. I went to see my dress few weeks ago without an appt and as soon as I walked through the door Krista knew exactly which dress I got 6 months ago whithout me saying a word.

Definitely go to White Dress By the Shore in Clinton, CT.  Just call to schedule an appointment with them.  They are so wonderful and have such gorgeous dresses! 
This is where I got my gown and I have all positive things to say about them.

Ditto White Dress. You'll have a great experience!! Plus, their gowns are a little different from what Mariella's carries so it might be good to switch it up. I ended up getting mine at Bancroft Bridal in MA- but they were similar to Mariella's dresses. Good luck!

The only reason I haven't considered White Dressis because I assumed they'd be way out of my budget. Do they have dresses under $2000?

I got mine at Mariella's but if you are looking for a huge variety, I went to NYC with a friend and we went to a place called RK Bridal.  They had TONS of dresses for all budgets and many popular designers.  I believe they were very reasonably priced too.

Agree with everyone on White Dress I almost got my dress from there.  I went with a Lazaro dress from Camille's (in West Hartford) instead.

However both of these are in the expensive range - I ended up spending much more than I planned.

Some other less expensive options - Fairytales in Glastonbury and Stylish Impressions

Stylish Impressions in Farmington!! I got my dress there, my BMs dresses, both mother's dresses and my dress for my shower and RD. Definitely check them out - they have been amazing!!!

Good luck! I'm in Boston so I'm not much help with bridal shop suggestions. Just letting you know I relate because I still have not bought my dress either. I'm getting married in November, so I have slightly more time, but it's a TOUGH decision for me... I've tried on what feels like a hundred dresses!

As a PP said I am not sure where in CT you are but Pearl Boutique is nice and I got my dress at Bancroft Bridals in Agawam, MA; just over the CT border. They have many designers and I think very few dresses even go over $2,000. Both me and my friend bought Maggie Sottero dresses and they were under $1,000. Good luck!

I also think White Dress by the SHore is the absolute best.  I found my dress there and love it... I didn't find it the first time I went but because the customer service is sooooo amazing I went back just in case and found the ONE.  Yes they are a little more pricey but they have sample sales and some of their dresses are closer to the 2000 range.

The Wedding Dress in Portland!  They have a great selection and nothing is over $2000.  I went to White Dress by the Shore too and the experience was fabulous but they were out of my price range.

I highly recommend Bancroft... They'd are so great there. Very helpful and there's no pressure!
