Well it certaintly wasn't an easy choice, I actually got quite overwhelmed with all the options on my own that I ended up visiting Liberty Travel to enlist an agent to help. Unfortunately i didn't have a good experience with two different agents. They didn't get my "style" of exotic that I was looking for. I specifically ruled out certain places that we have visited before and for some reason they kept pushing these areas onto me. I turned to tripadvisor and started doing more research into reviews of resorts and finally chose 8 nights at St. Lucia's Ti Kaye Village. Its just the exotic, tranquil and serene isolation we were looking for. I ended up giving the TA this choice to help me with booking it and she wasn't thrilled... then after getting pricing and info myself from the resort over the phone she ended up telling me that they no longer had a contract with Ti Kaye.
I know most people recommend a TA because they can get perks you otherwise couldn't on your own but when I spoke to the resort the assured me 99.9% of people who book one of their 33 cottages are honeymooners so I felt confident going with it on my own.
Anyway So Excited!! We booked an oceanfront cottage that has an outdoor shower and our own private plunge pool off the verandah. There are so many activites to do in St Lucia too... snorkeling under the pitons, visiting the waterfalls, the Botanical gardens, the Sulphur Springs (drive-in volcano), enjoying an on-site bali couples massage, a romantic seafood candlelit dinner for two on the balcony, and may even take a water taxi to a highly recommended restaunant the Rainforest Hideaway in
Marigot Bay.
Anyone else been to St. Lucia and can recommend activites here that are must dos?
