I went to a wedding at the Webb Barn last night that had Galley Gourmet catering it, so I thought I'd leave some notes as a guest for those of you considering those vendors!
It's beautiful - very fun venue! The barn is so rustic-chic, very fun atmosphere. Gets a little hot inside since there's no AC, but the fans do a good job overall.
They had the ceremony on the lawn facing the barn. It was beautiful - the only suggestion I would have is to place the seating a bit closer to the main house where the bridal party walks out of - it was a rather long aisle, and I think most of them felt a bit awkward by the time they reached the chairs since it was a loooong walk!
Cocktail hour was great on the patio - the gardens are gorgeous, and Galley Gourmet had iced tea and water available before the ceremony, and a selection of bruchetta during cocktail hour, as well as a few passed apps (tostones & gazpacho for the Groom's Cuban heritage). The food was really tasty, and the staff from GG was really professional and helpful. The two things that bugged me just a bit were that all the napkins had GG's name on them - to me, a wedding isn't a place to openly advertise your business like that. And they were still setting up cocktail hour as the guests were already standing there and waiting to dig in - like 4 people around the cocktail table trying to set it up. I felt like they could have done that quicker/smoother. But the food was very tasty, and they kept everything refreshed throughout the whole cocktail hour!
Dinner was done semi-family style - the plates had salmon & beef, which was both tasty and cooked well. The one problem was that several guests at our table had requested vegetarian meals, and there seemed no follow-through on that one - the staff seemed genuinely surprised that someone wanted vegetarian: "You mean, not even salmon?" Then they passed bowls around the table once with corn, yucca, grilled vegetables, and polenta. All were delicious, but they went around the table once and then got taken away. When my FI asked for seconds, they said it had already been cleaned up. If you're going to do family style, at least leave the bowls on the table so people can have seconds. It seemed pointless to scoop our own food and then just have it taken away - why not put it on the plates to begin with in that case?
Overall, a really fun wedding and a beautiful venue and tasty food!
