I've been in such a glowing bubble of happiness about our wedding that I forgot to add our only negative review.... But hopefully this saves someone some trouble.
Travel Agent- Exclusively Honeymoons- Glastonbury, CT- D-
I'm a pretty good planner, and besides one othe trip in college, have never used a travel agent until our honeymoon. We decided on going to a Sandals resort and ended up in Ochos Rios Jamaica. We figured we'd use a TA and see if we could get any additional perks. I basically found the package we wanted on our own, and having a TA only put a middle man in the way of things. Exclusively Honeymoons rarely got us the info we needed, and even cost us some money at times. They told us they could find our airfare or we could look for our own. When it got within a few months of the trip and not having heard from them, we found our own airfare and alerted them to the flights we wanted to book. First they tried to talk us in to earlier flights, but we knew we didn't want to rush around first thing after not sleeping all night. They told us they'd book the flights for us, but by the time they did so the next day, instead of that evening when we found them, the prices had gone up. We had no choice but to go with it. Then, as I'd get invoices, they wouldn't match previous invoices, and certain discounts we'd been promised would just dissapear. Luckily, I saved all the emails and sent them in and they found a way to "get you an additional discount". Our spa credit was also not what we expected when we got to the resort. Communication was frustrating at best and email became impossible so I went with phone calls. They sent out travel documents to the wrong address the first time and also neglected to notify us that both of our flights had changed. Luckily I happened to check in onlilne so we saw the time changes. Overall, I think using Exclusively Honeymoons just added more frustration to the whole process, and all that knowing they are supposedly the top Sandals TA in the state!
