Rehearsal Dinner Rec - Old Saybrook Area

Can anyone recommend a place to her a rehearsal dinner in the Old Saybrook area?  I wanted a place that has a private room for a sit down dinner.
Thanks!

Watersedge in Westbrook or Saybrook Point Inn could be nice- though I'm not familiar with their setups for a rehearsal dinner.

Penny Lane Pub?  You could sit upstairs.

Just out of curiosity, what sort of feel are you going for?

I think the price range we're looking in is $30-$40 with alcohol/soda inlcuded.  Old Saybrook's party room menu starts at like $40+.  I'm not super familar with the area but I feel like there's no middle of the road restaurants, hotels, etc.

    Would you want super-casual Mexican?

Here's the website for Cuckoo's Nest.  They're a very relaxed Mexican place and I believe you can rent the upstairs space:

Here's the website for Penny Lane:  http://www.pennylanepub.net/

And Dock and Dine can be another option:

It sounds like you're looking a bit more on the casual than formal side so that's why I suggested those places.

If you wanted to drive a bit,  try Boom in Westbrook:

Thanks!  We actually checked out Aspen on Old Saybrook and it was perfect.  They have a private room with a bar and they had a lot of option on how we could set up the dinner so I think we'll end up there.

Aspen is BEAUTIFUL!  I've heard some mixed reviews on their desserts but the food is fantastic!

Also in a similar price range is Cafe Routier which is in Westbrook.
