Centerpiece

Hey everyone, just wondering if anyone had any ideas for center pieces besides flowers? I didn't realize they were so expensive! I'm getting married at cascades in october and I'm just trying to figure out a way to get something less expensive but I also want it to look nice.

I would love to do candles but the contract says no open flamed candles :-(

I got married at Cascade.... You can have candles as long as they're in some sort of glass container. We had a ton of votives. The only rule was that we couldn't have more than 4 per table. I would call them to clarify exactly what you can't have

I've seen people do pumpkins and dark nuts (I think that's what they were) centerpieces for an October wedding.  You could even do white pumkins instead of orange too so it doesn't feel too halloweeny (unless that's what you want)

I'm also getting married at Cascade in October!  Domenic said you can have up to four small votive candles on the tables.  I was thinking about doing fresh cranberries floating with a candle.  It brings in the rich fall colors.  You could also do cranberries in a tall vase and twigs coming out of the top. I also saw mini pumpkins, gourds, and baby eggplant in a vase.   Pinterest has been very helpful.  I can send you pictures if you want.

We are doing lanterns on half of our talbes to cut the costs of flowers. I found some great ones at ikea, $7 for the small size and $15 for a bigger size. And since the candle is completely enclosed, I don't think that would count as an open flame. Good luck!
