So word has it that passport charges, both to get a new one and to get a renewal (which is the same as changing your name on your passport) are to go up by $35. the US State Dept. has apparently proposed the increase, but it isn't final yet. either way, everything i've read said it's likely that it's going to happen. UGH.
so ladies, if you're going to get one or change your name on one, do it now!!
on a related note: does anyone know what happens if you DON'T change you name on it?!? like, if i just make travel reservations in my maiden name, and my passport says my maiden name, that works, right?! (i'm so cheap lol...i can't see spending $75 to change my name when my passport is only 2 years old!!)
