Webb Barn comments?

I am finally engaged!

As I researched venues last night, I came across the Webb Barn in Wethersfield. I really, really love it and wanted to see if any of you have been to a wedding or are possibly planning your own there? I believe our wedding will be between 80 and 100 people.

Any other suggestions on venues? We are planning on a Spring 2013 wedding as of now, but nothing is definite.

I have looked at the Lace Factory in Deep River as well. I like it, but there is no place for a ceremony on-site and I would prefer that.

Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated!

We looked at the Webb Barn, it's nice but it wasn't for us. Definitely check it out though! Their coordinator is super nice & very helpful.

    Congratulatiosn and good luck =]

I just got married at the webb barn last friday! It was perfect (followed by disaster :). I highly recommend the venue. we got loads of compliments on the space. we had about 100 guests at the wedding and it was the perfect size.
We also looked at the lace factory, it's a great space you can really make your own, however, in spring it floods and you can only use their caterer. we toured a few others (pond house, st clemens castle, wickham park) but they all had that banquet style vibe we were very against.
    Congrats and best of luck!

That is very good to know about the Lace Factory! We have a tour scheduled for next weekend. I am hoping Katie from the Webb Barn emails me back soon to schedule something. I love the barn vibe! Our wedding will not be big enough for the Barns at Wesleyn Hills and Tyrone Farm is way out of our budget. I am really hoping the Webb Barn works out!!

Ksahlberg, I am going to send you a private message about your experience. I would love to hear your thoughts!

We looked at the Webb Barn as well but also decided it wasn't for us.  We wanted rustic but it was too small for us and the restrictions were too many.  We ended up going with Wickham Park which was gorgeous and huge! It is a 240 acre park with many separate areas.  The part used for weddings is called the cabin garden and is a big log cabin with a tented area that holds up to 150 people as well as a big amphitheater area where the ceremony can be held.  Also, it was about the same price but we ended up working with a great caterer who included the park fee.  PM me for more info.

First off, congrats!!  I am getting married at the Webb Barn in September 2012.  We originally put down a deposit at the Barns at Wesleyan Hills but then changed our minds as the Webb Barn is more laid back and informal.  PM me if you have any questions :)

I am having my wedding at the lace factory in June and having my ceremony at the Mount saint johns school which is 1/4 of a mile down the road. We are having the ceremony outdoors on the lawn that overlooks the river! My guests will be walking from the ceremony to the factory and the path is all along the CT river. Very beautiful.  Also, the deep river town landing is across the street and they have a gazebo that you can use for a ceremony.
  • We just booked our wedding at the Webb Barn for June 2013!
  • Does anyone know the site fee for the Webb Barn??  I really love the rustic feel but not sure that I'm willing to shell out tons of money just to rent a space!

  • The Webb Barn is on my shortlist.. but it looks like it has a really early curfew. Has anyone experienced this?
