When to announce candy buffet?

If your doing/did a candy buffet, when did you have the dj announce that it was open?  Is 30 minutes after the cake is served too soon?  When is the typical time to do this?  TIA!

    I don't have an answer for you, but I am doing a candy buffet too.  I'm not giving them a time and leaving it in Scott's hands.  If he's as great as everyone says then I'm not worried about it.

    We had our DJ announce it at the same time he announced that cupcakes were available, after we cut the cake. People will make their way over when they see it open!

    Sixth Anniversary 500 Comments

    We had a Venetian table so we unveiled the candy buffet at that time. We did it when cake was being served, probably 45 minutes or so after dinner.
