Best place for bachelorette party on East coast??

I'm looking for Bachelorette party destination ideas. I'm in NY near the city so we don't want to have the party in NYC (thats too "everyday" for us).

We def want to stay on the East coast and not have to drive more then 3.5 hours or so to get where we want to go. So far we have come up with:
  • AC
  • Foxwoods
  • Boston

What places do you suggest for an overnight bachelorette party? There are about 7 of us all together, we were thinking of a spa day/bars/chip & dales type of fun :)

Mohegan Sun Casino is having something called "Diva Fridays" during July and August.

  • Newport!  It'll be a totally different feel than NYC, you can go to wineries and have drinks at Castle Hill overlooking the Newport Bridge (with all the pretty ships coming and going).  It's a great city for walking around and bar-hoping, and has some great restaurants and spas.

  • I second Newport. Lots to do, great shopping and it's beautiful. :) Cape Cod is nice too, but a little bit farther away.

  • Block Island is another choice. I have told my girls that I either want mine to be in Newport or Block Island.

  • It all depends what you are looking for if you want a luxurious weekend with nightlife then MGM. Newport is great too but may be more expensive depending on the time of year and would require more planning. Block Island would be my pick for a low key bachelorette.
  • Atlantic City is one of my favorite places to go for a fun time!  Lots of restaurants, the beach, boardwalk, clubs/bars galore (everything is open late since the casinos never close), plenty of Spa options! The Continental restaurant at Cesar's Pier is my absolute favorite!
