Peter Island

My fiance & I have gone back and forth on like 10 different resorts in the Carribbean at this point. We want a beach, not TOO far away (aka not on a plane all day) and all-inclusive if not at least meals included. We also don't want something like a Sandals that everyone has been to. Something more secluded & special.

We came across Peter Island and it looks AMAZING. Its everything we want & it fits into our budget. Has anyone been there to give any inside info??? As the fiance says, we're going to have fun WHEREVER we are..just thought I'd ask! :)

T-minus 6 months!!

Re: Peter Island

  • where the heck is that?? is it tropical because it looks like it is near china! Part of US?
  • haha my google map was all messed up and it had peter island near alaska!! It seems wonderful. I am looking for an island similar to you. I don't want aruba or any of the super popular islands. It's so hard!! I checked out trip advisor and it had some amazing things to say about peter island resort.
  • Yeah so far we've heard some really great things. We really just wanted somewhere different. Some other resorts we've seen & looked into (and liked!!) are:
-Antigua (both Galley Bay & Hermitage Bay resorts)
    -Nevis (Nisbet Plantation)

We've been looking for a while and those were the most promising resorts that included everything we were looking for. In our eyes its the one big trip we're going to be taking like this for a while. We don't want to break the bank, but we want it to be special.

    Good luck in your searching!
  • Us too!! and everyone says to go on a cruise, but I've never been on one. My friend stayed at Galley Bay and loved it, but did say that it is a little bit of an older crowd. Not like a party place like cancun. Peter's island seems nice because you can island hop!!
I was looking into itqaly, but it is really expensive and also stressful to travel in another country. I want relaxing!!!!

Let me know what you find out!! Thanks for the info
  • We haven't stayed at Peter Island but have traveled to the BVI and are going again next month. On our last trip we did a bareboat charter with a couple that stayed there prior to the sail and they loved it.  They raved about the accommodations and service.  You also would be in a great location to island hop to other places in the BVI like Virgin Gorda and Anegada from there.  You also may want to look into flying into St. Thomas and taking the ferry to Tortola as airfare is usually less flying into STT rather than EIS (at least that has been the case from our home airport).
