Accommodations near Waterford, CT

I'm looking in to Eolia mansion as a possible location for my wedding. I grew up in CT, but nearly all my family will be coming from out of town (NY and MA). We also have many guests coming in from the UK. My question is for those who have gotten married at Eolia or are going to, where did you find good (clean, relatively nice) in the area did you find lodging for out of town family and friends?

Groton and Mystic both have really nice hotels. We used the Comfort Inn in Mystic, they gave a great rate and were AWESOME the weekend of the wedding. The Hampton Inn in Groton and Mystic also has great rates and a good reputation.

I would definitly hit up Groton and Mystic.  I'm getting married and Mystic, and we have already made arranagemets with the Hyatt, Hampton Inn, Hilton, HoJo's, and Holiday Inn Express.  There are also a few small motels in East Lyme/Niantic, and probably many places in Norwich or by the casinos.
