Napa Valley?

Hi Everyone,

My Fiance and I are considering going to Napa Valley for our honeymoon.  Wanted to see if anyone had an experiences, thoughts, or recommendations?  My fiance is concerned that there won't be enough for us to do to stay for a whole week.  We were thinking of flying in to San Francisco and exploring there for a couple days first.  Any recommendations would be appreciated!!  Thanks!

  • I think the SF idea is great.  Napa might get old after a while.  SF, on the other hand, will keep you entertained for a long time.
  • We aee doing Napa, San Fran and Monterey Bay.

I am pretty bad at remembering to check all of the boards!
  • I live up here and am STILL not bored of the things to do.
If you stay in Napa, you can do the Wine Train one of the days. There are also towns surrounding Napa like Healdsburg that offer quaint shops, a great park, and best of all, about 25 tasting rooms, many of which offer free tastings (or coupons online for free tastings!).
You could also veture to Bodega, which isn't far (maybe 40-50 mins), which has a beach and really cute shops and good food.
I would recommend checking out Sonoma County too. You can get to Napa, Bodega and other wine towns in 20-30 mins.
I love it here. We are having a mini-honeymoon in Napa because we have grad school finals a few weeks after the wedding. (Hawaii will be there in December no?) Hope this helps! Diana :)
  • We did a vacation last year to SF and Nappa- highly recommend it. You could also stay a couple of days in Sausalito. If you go to Nappa, you should stay at the Inn on First. It is an amazing B&B and the owners are so awesome. We also did a Wine Tour on platapus tours, which was also really fun. I think a week between SF & Nappa would be perfect, especially if you stop in Sausalito or Muir Woods. Have fun!!
