Princess Cruise

We are pretty sure that we are going to do a cruise for our Honeymoon.  We have never been on a cruise before and we can't decide on a room.  If you've been on a cruise before, do you recommend spending the extra money for the balcony room?  We do have a budget and getting the balcony room would go over the budget by a little bit, but it is our honeymoon.  So would it be worth it?

Hands down spend the extra money on the balcony room! I've cruised in an inside room and in a balcony room and the balcony room was definitely worth the extra money! 

People may say "Oh who cares you barely spend any time in the room" but when you are in the room it's so much nicer to have the extra space plus you have your own outdoor area for just the two of you. FI and I ordered room service for breakfast each morning and ate it out on our balcony which was much better than going up to the overcrowded buffet. There's extra space in the room for a sitting area plus you get your own balcony so you don't feel as cramped. It's nice to have an area to just relax while getting ready for dinner and going out for the evening or just to relax in the morning and enjoy breakfast. HTH!

We did a Princess cruise to Alaska last year and I'd definitely pay extra for a balcony room.  We didn't and we missed a lot of good things because it's so dark in the inside cabin room so it's easy to sleep.  Family members that had balcony rooms were able to sit on their balcony while the outside decks were crowded and they got great pictures, plus they could be there anytime without leaving the room. 

Also, have you done Princess before?  It wasn't bad but we weren't thrilled.  The food was just okay and the entertainment was a little boring.  Of course, since it was an Alaska cruise the crowd was a little older so maybe that's why?
