Cancun vs. P*nta Cana

We were going with Cancun but started to look into P*nta Cana, we have never been to either. Pros and cons of each?

Cancun is a much safer area to leave the resort on your own and go exploring/go into town without being on a guided tour. Also, there are a lot more excursions/activities in Cancun than P*nta Cana.

Both places are gorgeous, have beautiful beaches with great waves, and endless AI options. I would make the decision based on whether you want an active or relaxing HM. You can have both at both places, but you'll find a lot more activities in Cancun and can feel safer going into town on your own. HTH!

as far as off of the resort: cancun has about a trilliion things to do, pnta cana has very few. both have nice beaches.

We are heading to P**ta Cana tomorrow! Our selling points were mainly that we had already been to Mexico and wanted to try something different. I have heard nothing but great things about P.C.

Thanks everyone! I think we're sticking with Cancun mainly because FI doesn't want to fly long (we're going from Vegas).
