Fi & I are spending the first week of our honeymoon in Puerto Rico.
I was wondering if anyone had any tips to share with us? We will be leaving on the Monday after our wedding- September 24. The flight is 3.5 hours, so we'll probably be landing in San Juan in the early afternoon or late morning if we're lucky.
We will be taking a cruise from San Juan on September 30. Our cruise doesn't leave until 10:00pm that night, but we can board the ship as early as 2:30 in the afternoon or as late as 8:30. I was thinking we'd board pretty early so we don't have to carry our bags around San Juan, so I'm not counting that day as a sightseeing day in PR.
We were planning to spend a few nights (like Friday & Saturday nights) in San Juan, but we have the rest of the week to explore PR.
Do you have any recommendations? I've been doing some research, and I'm 99% sure we're going to spend at least a night or two in Vieques. We also want to see El Yunque Rainforest.
If you have honeymooned/vacationed in PR, what was your itinerary like? Was it hard to get around? Do you think we can do Vieques, El Yunque, and San Juan in the same trip, or should we just plan for Vieques and San Juan??
