We are really budgeted, so once we hit the wedding, things will be pretty tight. FI has a good job, but I am out of work right now. We are trying to find a place closer to where he works because putting gas in our truck for an hour one-way commute is killing us.
We plan on staying in a local hotel for a couple days after the wedding, but then we go back to our normal life. He can only get a week off then for the wedding, but Tuesday before we have plans, so he's just going to take Tuesday-Monday off and we plan on taking a small honeymoon at some point probably early fall, before school starts again for my step-daughter.
A lot of my friends say that if we aren't going right after the wedding, then there isn't a point to having one. I say that it shouldn't matter when we do it. If we were going to wait a year or more, I could see it being a "vacation" but can I still call it a honeymoon?
