AI honeymoon under $3500

hey Ladies,
Happy 2010 to you all!!!
I am looking for some advice for my honeymoon in November of this year. We are looking for:
-white sandy beaches
-some excursions (rainforest tours, vocanos etc)
-All Inclusive resort with good food, lots of restaurant options
-and all for under $3500????
There is a posibility to wait until early dec to miss hurricane season but not sure if prices will be better or worse. Also, we are from cincinnati ohio so can fly out of cincy, indianapolis, dayton or louisville...
Any suggestions would be great!!!!!

Re: AI honeymoon under $3500

  • We went in September 08, but check the  prices for Jamaica! It is beautiful and if you stay at the RIU Ocho Rios, you will not be sorry. Do not book right away though as you can get a better price closer to the date. We booked in April for a Sep departure and fro Airfare, 1 week in an Oceanview suite AI (food and alcohol) we paid about $2300!! We are now planing to go back this Sep, to give you a little credibility on how beautiful it was! Congrats and GL!
  • I'm not sure what it will look like for you in November and from where you are flying from, but the hubby and I just booked a 7 night all inclusive trip (we are leaving this Friday!!) at Secrets Silversands in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico for under $3,000.  The Secrets resorts are highly rated and the food is supposed to be awesome.  Secrets has 3 locations in Mexico and two that are opening up in Jamaica this spring.  Hope this helps! :)
  • Check out my bio for my St. Lucia HM.  You could get a lot for under that price.  Check out Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Barbados, Bahamas, and Mayan Riviera.  Sign up for a site like cheapcaribbean.com or honeymoonsinc.com.

  • From what you have described, I think Dreams Puerto Aventuras would be the perfect choice for your getaway.  It’s located on the southeast coast of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula on a beautiful beach.  It’s located near some great excursions including Tulum, Xel-ha freshwater lagoons, and Xcaret, an ecological-archeological theme park.

The resort also has delicious food options at any of their six restaurants.  You can also enjoy 24-hour room service, which included in the price of your stay.  I hope you have a fantastic honeymoon!

  • Try Excellence Playa Mujeres which is right near Cancun. It is the MOST amazing place we've ever visited. We went after the swine flu scare & got amazing deals, but you might be able to snag something there for under $3500. The food is so incredible & you have between 7-9 restaurants to choose from without waiting in any lines or having to make reservations. We literally ate 5 star food every night, lobster, lamb, filets, seafood, etc. Top shelf alcohol was also included, which just knocked our socks off! They had nightly themes/entertainment so it was never boring & there were over 5 pools to choose from in addition to swimable beaches. We were in heaven & my fiance is dying to return. We wish we saved it for our honeymoon, but who knows, we might make that our honeymoon destination because I really don't think anything can beat it! GL!
