July 2012 Weddings

Can't wait to send invites...

I'm not going to yet, just to be clear. But I have a lot of things left to do that are going to require numbers of guests attending. I don't want to prepare to have 230 people and have only 120 show up. I just want to start getting my RSVP's back so I can plan better. I know its far too early and we don't even have the invitations yet, but I can dream, right? Just had to vent a little.

  • I'm right there with ya!  I don't want to make 60 napkin rings and only need 30 or order enough linens for 6 tables and only need 3.  I'm way too much of a planner and want it all done and planned NOW and not in 3 more months!

I hear you. Once I'm confident that our numbers are ok (i.e. under 200) I'll relax. But for now, we're inviting 224 and it's freaking me out.

  • I sent one today! hahaha just one. It's overseas though. I was actually just seeing how much it would cost to send it and the dude stamped it and took it away from me.

I still have about 20 invitations to finish doing before I can mail them anyway. I'm mailing early though because most of our guests are out of town. We didn't do STDs either.

  • I completely understand!! But I literally JUST ordered our invite images (having them made by an Etsy seller)...I still have a LONG ways to go before they are even close to ready lol It's kind of stressing me out, actually!

  • I really want to start assemblying them but we might be moving between now and the wedding.  I still also have to get addresses and maybe make another round of cuts potentially to the guest list, I'm not sure about inviting a couple friends.

  • I feel ya, too! It kind of sucks that you sort of have to put the RSVP deadline so close to the event. It leaves sooooo many things to the last few weeks (how much liquor to purchase, transportation arrangements, escort cards, favors,......). We are already going a little outside of the recommended 3-4 week out RSVP date and putting 5 weeks out on ours. I know we'll have to chase some ppl down, so I'd rather have that all set with a full month to go.
