Honeymoom in the states!!

Hi ladies,

      Fiance and I are waiting for our 1st year anniversary to go on our honeymoon,and were wanting to stay in the states. We've been talking about going to New Orleans(neither of us have been there before) for a few days and then heading to Florida for another couple of days.Does any one have any recommendations on hotels,bed and breakfast's and resturants in New Orleans?

In New Orleans, I enjoyed the Jazz Brunch at Commander's Palace.  I recommend making an early reservation.

What type of place in New Orleans do you want to stay and what part of town?  Do you want a big hotel in the French Quarter or a bed and breakfast in a historic mansion?  You will have more quiet if you stay at a bed and breakfast, not as close to the main tourist areas but within 10-15 minutes.  If you stay in the French Quarter you will be in walking distance to the attractions but it's NOT quiet at night :-)

As far as food you can't go wrong!  If Acme Oyster House is crowded try Felix's Fish Camp across the street.  The piano bar at Pat O'Brien's is worth waiting for if the line isn't too long.  It's also worth taking the ride on the Natchez steamboat but I'm not biased (I'm getting married there).  For fine dining try Palace Cafe.

We've talked about staying at a Hotel close to the French Quarters for a few nights and the rest of our stay at a Bed and Breakfast in a quieter part of town, I would love to stay at a historic mansion. We've actually looked online and found a few that are absolutely beautiful and got great reviews,it's just hard to make our minds up,but we still have plenty of time to decide. Thanks for the suggestions, we will definitely check those places out,especially Pat O'Brien's
