Currently FI and I are booked for 10 days in Maui. Originally I really wanted to do Kauai and Maui, however a friend told him that Kauai is "boring" so he didn't want to go. I compromised and was fine with doing 1. Now that we're learning more and talking to people who have lived there who say Kauai is mostly you and nature but supremely gorgeous, he's thinking about rearranging the whole trip and doing 2 islands (4 days in Kauai, 6 days in Maui). We're worried if we don't do 2 islands we may regret missing out, however the thought of losing almost a whole day to travel to another island seems somewhat annoying. For those who have been there: 1 island or 2? What's your advice? Thanks!
