Aruba help!! Plz

My fiance and I are going to Aruba for our HM in October and we are having trouble picking a hotel. We were leaning towards the Divi all inclusive. any in put would be great. I'm seeing a lot of posts about not doing AI but I've heard the island is extremely expensive and we were thinking we could always try a restaurant but if we didn't want to spend money once we are there we wouldn't have to. Thank you!!!!

We stayed at the Divi a few years ago, it was nice and given the price, we would possibly do it again. A reason not to is that Aruba has some AMAZING places to eat and when you do AI, you usually end up wasting money b/c if you go out, you're essentiall paying for 2 meals.

i didnt find it to be expensive at all-about average I guess. certainly not EXTREMELY expensive...

We are not doing an AI.  Everyone thinks they are cheaper but in reality you are just paying for mediocre food and drinks upfront instead of as you go.  We are staying at the Tara Beach Suites and Renaissance.

There is so much to do, and so many wonderful places to eat at, that I wouldnt suggest doing an AI.

I stayed at the Amsterdam Manor in Aruba in 2008 - it was not all inclusive which was nice because we could take the bus around to the hotels and downtown to eat.  The bus is a great, cheap, safe way to get around.

Agree- no AI! I also agree with Ali. I didn't find it to be expensive at all, at least compared to a lot of my other travels. I was actually amazed at how low some of the bills were for fantastic meals.
