Drive time between locations

So here is the problem I am facing for my wedding. Our ceremony is going to be taking place in Blair, NE. Our reception will be in Herman, NE which is approx. 10 min north of Blair. The problem I have is I had to block rooms in Omaha which is 45 min from the reception sites. I blocked rooms at the nearest hotel as possible. If you were a guest at wedding and this is the situation how would you feel? I just don't want to make them upset.

You could consider using  A Paige to Remember (Scrapbooking store with a group bus) transportation in Blair. We use them for a holiday lights tour two years ago and  they charge $85 an hour (cheapest out there) and don't have minimums and charge by the time they hit the pickup spot to the drop off. So really you would be looking at a few hours tops. Depending on where in Blair the reception is it could be hard for out of towners to find. We looked at Scottlyn Yards out there as a location and got lost for an hour before we found it....and I know my way around Blair.

I would be okay with it, but you may want to consider getting a block at the Days Inn in Mo Valley also and skip Omaha completely since there are no events taking place in Omaha.  That's a long way for folks to travel if they don't know the area.  

You could give out gift bags at check in with very explicit maps and directions for guests if you don't have a way to provide transportation.  If you do want to provide transportation from Omaha to the ceremony and reception, I'd look into renting a bus from Arrow Stage Lines, A and B shuttle etc and plan to provide the transportation to and from completely.  Not sure if you're serving alcohol, but if so, out of towners drinking and trying to find their way around afterwards in the country, in the dark is going to be a daunting task for guests.

By the way Blair has hotels you could block too.

I know there are hotels closer ie. a super 8 here in blair. But I know my fam and they wouldn't want to stay at a super 8 not to mention on their down time when there is no wedding stuff they will have nothing to do here. I just want to make sure the drive time isn't unreasonable.
