flowers!!!!

Hello-

I am using silk flowers for my bouquets and I am attempting to make them myself to my dismay. What are the "rules"? I put together a nice red rose bouquet for my bridesmaids, and then a "friend" tells me afterward that I should not use all red flowers with red dresses since they will be washed out. I have tried to incorporate other colors into the bouquets, but just don't like how they look. I really like just the red rose bouquet because it is simple and very pretty.

I think the easiest way to incorporate other color would be to use white ribbon to wrap around the stems, and then you can get those white pearls to stick in the bouquets. That way it's not so RED-ON-RED looking. Or maybe add a little bit of greenery to hang down from the front, or even some ribbons hanging down from the front. Hope that helps! Good luck!
