When to send out invitations

My mom thinks I should wait until 6weeks before the wedding. I want to get an idea who is coming to order enough programs, wedding bubbles, tell the catereer, and get my chair cover. I want to send them out this weekend. I am getting married June 9th, 2012

    My wedding date is the same as yours and I am sending mine out Aoril 1st. Four months out is WAY to early. Standard is 6-8 before the event, you could maybe stretch it to 10 weeks.

    Well again I didnt send any out for save the dates, because it would be too expensive. I know I am sending them out too early, but the earliest I will be doing it at three months. I feel like this way i know exactly who is coming and, and my guest can plan ahead and also have time to go to the places we register at.

    If I send them out March 3rd, that will be about 10weeks before I told them I need an answer by May 19th
