Has anyone been to Brazil or know anything about honeymooning there? We are getting married June 8 and hoping to honeymoon June 10-17 or somewhere in that time frame. We are very unfamiliar with Brazil, but would like some beach time and some excursion time. We are hoping to keep the entire trip under 4k if possible. Any tips? Thanks!

I traveled to Brazil several years ago as part of a mini study abroad program. We stayed in a small area, which I believe was called Gonzaga, and it was beautiful. It was right on the beach and had a busy town square with lots of stores and restaurants. We flew into São Paulo, which is about a day's drive south of Rio, and is generally regarded as a safer area. You could always fly to Rio for a few days since there's so much to do there. I'd definitely recommending riding to the top of Sugar Loaf and watching the sun set over the city. It was by far one of the most gorgeous things I have ever seen. I remember my flight alone cost about 1k, so that will be about half of your budget right there. Oh, and you need to apply for a visa before going too. If you have any other questions, ill try my best to answer them. Good luck!
