Cake and Disaster...

Ok, so the cake tasting went well and we booked Anna Cakes for our cupcake style wedding cake =) Shes awesome and we came in $50 under budget, woo!!

So then we're excited and heading home ...the meeting with Anna was at 630 at the Panera in Winter Springs and we live in Melbourne (an hour and 20 min drive)...then all of a sudden, 45 miles from home...BAM!!!!!!!!

Theres a F***ING metal table saw in the middle of Hwy 528 directly in our lane.
Yes...a table saw. We had to repeat it several times to the insurance ppl. they didnt believe it either. But seriously...how did the owner of that saw not notice that it was hurled out of the back of their truck?? yikessssss.

There was a car to our right and nowhere or no time to swerve to miss it...so, Jacob hits it head on in his BRAND NEW 2010 Mazda 3. Tragic. Sparks were flying everywhere, LUCKILY no one was hurt (other than the car)...but ok, the accident happened at like, 8 0r 830ish ...called Geiko, they set us up with a towing company...they showed up at like, 1030. We eventually make it home at 11:30 safe and sound...EXCEPT, i got bitten by ants in the meantime and im freaking allergic. im now incredibly itchy all over my body, especially my scalp and chest...and my face is swollen up like a freaking...i dont even know what...but its gross.

Gahhh, im going to bed!
At least the cake was good...

    Wow, that is really awful.  What a terrible night. I'm sorry all of that happened to you.  Hope everything is ok with your car.

    Holy crap! That's awful! Even if you two weren't hurt, it would probably still be a good idea to take some advil so you don't get too sore from getting jerked around like that. Boo, what a crappy way to end the day! :(

    Wow, well at least congrats on booking your cake vendor. 

    I am definitely sorry to hear about the rest of your night!  That sucks but thankfully like you said, both of you were fine.

    Ugh! Two hours for the tow truck to get there? I kind of hate Geico's roadside assistance tow people. And a TABLE SAW??? That's so random, but I'm glad everyone is ok (I hope the itching goes away soon!).

    Congratulations on booking a cake vendor. We used Anna, too.

    I KNOWWW...SOOO RANDOM. we were joking later, that we wish his car didnt totally flatten it, becauase we could really use a table saw. lol.

    but really, can you IMAGINE how that couldve turned out for someone. if someone had tried to swerve it at 75mph, they couldve flipped their car or something. Or if you were the car behind the truck that lost it??...can you imagine that thing flying towards your windshield? damn....

    we're just lucky and thankful to be okay!! =)

    That is insane! I used to live Melbourne and used to take 528 to see my now fiance at UCF when we did a little long-distance...and I there was always sh*t in the middle of the freaking road! It's unreal! I'm glad you guys are safe and sound though :)
