Choosing between 2 florists

Hey ladies!  I met with two florists - Lee Forrest and Danielle at Dream Designs.  I liked them both and their prices were comparable.  Now I can't figure out which one to choose...I've heard good stuff about Lee, both from other vendors and here on the Knot.  And Dream Designs seems pretty good as well - anyone know much about them?Any advice would greatly help!!  Thanks!!

Hey Charlotte!I am actually using Danielle from Dream Designs - she's great!  Not only nice and very, very patient, I've emailed her several times after we met and she's very responsive and has no problem with changing the order.  The only thing that I was originally worried about was getting an updated estimate and contract when we changed the order, and after asking she willing obliged. We even got lost on the way there and ended up being a 1/2 hour late - I ended up having to call them 3 times for directions.  Like I said, very patience and was so nice about the whole thing!Let me know if you have any other specific questions about Danielle, I'd be happy to help! Thanks,Tana

I am using Lee.. and he's awesome. He has a lot of great ideas and will definitely work with whatever you're trying to do. He's been great working with my lack of ideas and unethusiasm regarding flowers and actually made me excited about them. I met with 4 florists and chose him because his creative ideas and love for what he does :) Good Luck deciding!

Lee Forrest! Hands down! He is a friend of my uncle so I've been seeing his work at family events for a while now and the things he does are AMAZING! He did my sister's wedding two years ago and now he'll be doing mine! Beautiful work!! He is VERY creative!

On this board, Lee will be the one who you hear about the most. There are a few vendors who constantly get recommended, and when it comes to florists, Lee is one of them. Personally, I had a negative experience with him, so I chose not to use him but it seems to be an isolated incident because others absolutely rave about him. I don't know anything about Dream Designs!

I only met with 2 florists during my planning and they were to 2 above - Lee and Danielle.  I ended up going with Lee and am SO glad I did.  Our flowers turned out amazing !!!When I met with Danielle she was SO disorganized and was not helpful at all and when I left I was so confused.  I haven't heard very good things about her either... she is very hard to get a hold of (I could never talk to her... it was always her mom) and our wedding coordinator told me about a time she made a bride cry the day of the wedding because the bride told her she didn't like her bouquet or something and she basically flipped out on her and yelled at her or something.So... IMO I would go with Lee :-)

I just confirmed that I'm going with Danielle at Dream Designs and I couldn't be happier with my decision. She is very responsive, but I'm also patient and aware that I'm not the only client.  She is EXTREMELY helpful and offers all kinds of ideas and alternatives knowing that my budget is tiny. She showed me TONS of pictures of her work and her assistant was very kind and helpful as well.  I had them going through the ringer - she was going to the back and pulling all kinds of things to show me (I have too many ideas) and was very patient and helpful. I give Danielle two thumbs up and I'm not nervous AT ALL about my wedding flowers.

Ditto what Jessica said. I actually did some work with Danielle...and I got the same impression..disorganized, a little high strung, and hard to get a hold of her personally. Her mom (at the time) handled all her business stuff. I think Danielle has a good "creative" mind, but not so much a business mind. I personally saw some things "behind the scenes" that I didn't care for, and personally wouldn't want with my florist doing! I wouldn't say she's terrible by any means, but I wouldn't recommend her either..if that helps! Lee is great! I just met with him and am positive I want to book him! He loves what he does and has so many creative ideas...and he definetely isn't afraid to tell you what he thinks! HTH!

By far one of the best decisions I made for my wedding...she was also my DOC and I didn't have to worry about a thing!  I recommend you call her before you make your final decision ...there are othe girls on here using her as well check the board :)GL
