Dress Shopping Appointment

so I am need to set up an appointment at the David's Bridal by Millenia Mall to go try on dresses. Which option do I do.... Option A: Call the store directly and set up the time with them? Option B: Go through the online thing that says they will call you back in 48 hours or you can call their number they have.... Also, how far in advance do I need to make the appointment? My mom is coming into town from Michigan, so I want to make sure I have an appointment, as she wont be coming into town again till 2010. Any ideas? TIA for any help!!!

I'd call - but I'd also wait until you're 6-8 months out... you have over a year.  Unless you're 100% sure about what you want and aren't worried about changing your mind.

Sorry if I confused anyone.... I haven't gone dress shopping AT ALL...I have looked online and everything, but I haven't gone to a store at all to look at any dresses. I plan to call to make an appointment at Davids Bridal so I can go try on several different dresses, so I can start to get an idea of what I like/dislike. And if I find one that I love while I am there, so be it. I'm just wondering if I should call the actual store or use the number they provide online. We have to go on a specific day as my mom is only in FL for a few days and this is one of those things where I want my mom to be there. With that, she's coming in October. And it's only August. But I want to make sure we are able to get an appointment that day since we are not only trying on dresses for me, but bridesmaid dresses. So is it ok to call this far in advance to make an appointment? I am just worried that if I wait, then I wont be able to get in and have someone there to help me.

For the Altamonte store, I called to make a Saturday appointment the Monday before, and they happened to have one open... The next time I wanted a Saturday appointment, at a David's Bridal here in SFL, I called 2 weeks in advance, and that was fine. Weekday appointments I had no problem getting.

I'd call.  Don't make the mistake of registering for that call back..They have called me everyday for the past month.  I scheduled an appointment with them after the first call, I am not sure why they keep calling.  However, I found my dress this weekend at Alfred Angelo. :)

I got my dress at DB Millenia. If your appt. will be during the week, I would call and schedule a week ahead of time.If it's the weekend, maybe 2 weeks ahead.Really, for DB, it's not a big deal. I went in on a Sat. without an appt. and that was the day I bought my dress. It is definitely more hectic on the weekends, but as long as you have someone with you to help put the dresses on,you should be fine:)Also, my dress and veil came in within two weeks!

I went on a Tuesday and called about a week ahead. The BM who went with me went on a Saturday for her wedding dress and called two weeks ahead. The girls there were very nice (went to the one at Millenia as well) so I don't think they'd mind if you schedules extra early.
