My mom reads the Spanish magazine HOLA and they featured a Greek princess named Alexia in the issue she was reading while pregnant with me.What were you almost named? I don't know, I think it was always Alexia.Do you like it? I love it!If no, what would you change it to? I'd never change it!What will/did you name your first son/daughter? why? Son, if Robert wants a Robert, then Robert. If not, then Adrian Salvador or Dominic Salvador - I just really like the first names and Salvador was my maternal grandfather's name and my paternal great uncle's name.For a girl, I love the names Victoria, Angelina (but Angelina Jolie ruined that one for me), Gabriella, and Isabel.

My mom always liked the name Gina...But her crazy Italian husband's family demanded they name the first born after the the paternal grandmother or grandfather. When I was born she wanted to somehow honor her own mother (Jean) but hates the name Jean... So she thought the name she liked, Gina, would be a close match.What were you almost named? What is your name? Cheryl Lynne Why were you named this? Parents just liked the name. They had it picked out in case they ever had a girl. What were you almost named? there were no other options Do you like it? Yes. Although I have a lot of trouble with places leaving off the "e" on my middle name. My high school diploma had to be reissued. If no, what would you change it to? I like my middle name, but rarely use it, so I'll be dropping it to add my maiden name as my middle when we get married What will/did you name your first son/daughter? why? Dunno yet lol I'd like something thats not very common, and has the possibility of going by a nickname. (This was one thing I didn't like about my name growing up, most my friends had nicknames they went by instead, but not much you can do with Cheryl. Outside of work, FI goes by Scotty instead of Scott)

What is your name? Amelia AnneWhy were you named this? I don't rememberWhat were you almost named? I'm not sure, but seeing I go by Amy, I'm sure that was one of the other options and my parents decided they'd name me Amelia and call me Amy. Do you like it? The name Amelia? No I don't really like it at all because I have never been known by that name. I don't understand why my parents named me that if they were never planning on calling me that. If no, what would you change it to? I would like to just change my name legally to Amy when I get married but FI thinks I should keep my real name. What will/did you name your first son/daughter? why? Our first child will be named Jeremiah Reed, if its a boy or Gracianna Lynn, if it's a girl.

My mom always liked those names. no exciting story. my dad's mom thinks i am named after her (Sara), but my mom always wanted to name me sarah. What were you almost named? if i was a boy, my name would have been stephen matthew. my husband's name is steve matthew. lol! Do you like it? I do, but I go through stages. At one point I wished my name was Elizabeth (Sweet Valley days), then Dawn (Babysitters Club days), and there was one point I wished it was Jade. My leather pants days, don't ask! Oh, and I've always had to hear the "OMG, like Buffy!" comments when people hear my first and middle names. If no, what would you change it to? I don't think I'd change it. What will/did you name your first son/daughter? why? I like Emily Sophia for a girl and I don't really know what I'd name a boy. I like the name Brady. It's a little trendy, though. So maybe we'd just flip-flop Steve's name and use Matthew Steven.

This one is always interesting with FI and I. if a boy, a Jr. is out because his middle name is Junior (go figure), so far the only name we are able to pretty much agree on is Exavier. I used to LOVE Allen Iverson, but i'm slowly growing out of it. I always said that i would name my 1st born Allen, and my BFF's middle name is Jamie, so his name would be Allen James...we will see! Oh and i also love Adonis (the greek god) but FI isn't for it . For girls, we have definitely chosen Annabelle! I think it's such a pretty name with character, and maybe Soraya. We will cross those bridges whenever its time! LOL

What is your name? Alyssa Leanne Why were you named this? My mom is a gardener - she named me after the Alyssum, a very delicate little flower. And then she got ME! HA! What were you almost named? I don't know what the other choices were, but they were far too common for the awesomeness that is me. Do you like it? LOVE my name. I didn't like it as a child because the teachers always mispronounced it, but I love that it's fairly unique. Like moi. If no, what would you change it to? I wouldn't change it at all. What will/did you name your first son/daughter? why? My daughter's name is Kira Meaghan (pronounced the Irish way - Mee-ghan) and I don't know that I'm up for having another child, but if we had a boy I like the name Declan. It would probably have to be a middle name, though, because I don't think Brian's down with the unique names quite as much as I am. I also like Asher, from the 12 tribes of Israel. Yep, I'm gonna get vetoed on all my boy name choices. If we had another girl it'd have to be a very cultural name. I love Indian, Irish, and Hebrew girls' names.
