Ok so I've been over on the bump because we are trying to get pregnant.  I have never been so insulted in my entire life.  The girls over there are rude, and bitter and I can't believe some of the things they said to me for asking what I felt were legit questions.I miss the nice knot, kind, supportive Knot girls

well....im new to the knot, so you don't know me but I wanted to say sorry about your experience. I was just over at the bump browsing around and MAN! It seems alot of those girls are bitter! . Prego ladies can be emotional and those who have been trying for a while are prob discouraged. Don't let it get you down! Best luck trying to get pregnant!!

I'm not TTC so I haven't ventured over to the bump. but I've read a couple random threads from a friend & they are INSANE. Some of the siggies are really freaky, weird or tasteless. Or all of the above. But sorry you've had problems. I'm sure there are sane girls over there. Just find the right board and I'm sure you'll fit in soon!

Which board were you on? I've heard some interesting things about some of them.The only ones I've spent some time on are the loss and TTCA boards and everyone was very supportive but that's kind of a given with the topic.

National boards are always going to have their share of good and bad people on them.  Just like P&E here.  I think the regulars get sick of responding to the same questions over and over again or think you should just use google.  Personally, I try not to ask anything on the boards that I could find pretty easily on my own because you'll often get those kinds of responses.  Not that it's right, but unfortunately, it's reality.  I'm sorry they weren't nice or respectful to you though

Hynes -  I know we've "known" each other awhile from P&E so FWIW, I'm a TCOYF self-proclaimed expert. ;-)  Not certified or anything like that but I've been using it for 2+years and feel really comfortable with it.  I'm happy to help right here on the CF board if you want to avoid asking certain questions on the bump.

Haha, thanks Mrs. B!  I've lurked a bit over there and actually posted two questions tonight and got some good answers.  They weren't the dreaded "am I pregnant" questions, so I think they were nice :)I really appreciate your willingness to share!  Would you recommend reading TCOYF??  Probably, if you're an expert, huh?  I'm having diffiuclty ovulating, so not so sure how the book can help me with that, but I'm willing to take any advice :)And GL to you Mrs. B...I know it hasn't been easy for you**Sorry for the thread jack pumkie!!

Thanks for the GL - we'll see what the next 2 weeks bring. ;-)You're right about the book not having the magic answers about why you're not ovulating regularly but....it will teach you how to track your fertility signs and you might be able to see a pattern to your cycles that could help narrow some things down.  TCOYF is exactly how I was able to figure out my migraines being hormonal.  I was focused on food allergies and weather and never noticed that I was getting them 3-4 days before I started until I started temping and tracking.  And...it's definitely a good read just to understand the full process of monthly cycles rather than just the "7th grade video" level of understanding that most of us have/had.

evening primrose oil - I'm  thinking that I remember chatting with someone about EPO and helping with ovulating but it may have been about increasing cervical fluid.  either way, it does something ;-)

That sucks. =/ I would check out the nest instead. Tons of nice girls over there and they talk about babies all the time, too. The girls on the CFL Nest Board will probably be very helpful.
