DJs!!! Ahhh

So our DJ backed out on us because he is getting married the week before. Which I understand and that always made me really nervous and I guess it is better that it happened now instead of later. No money lost, just really annoying and stuck trying to find a new DJ 99 days out when I'm in the middle of internship and don't live in Orlando. So we asked out DOC for suggestions and these are the people she came back with. I just can't really tell anything about a DJ from their website, so I was hoping you may know something about any of these DJs. White Rose Entertainment http://www.orlandodj.com/index.html Fun Factory http://www.djfunfactory.com/weddings.htm Sound Wave Entertainment http://www.djsoundwave.net/ We are looking for someone who is fun, but not a clown. :-) Thank you!

I interviewed with Soundwave and I loved them. They are really great and come highly recommended. I actually went with Jay Edwards who also comes highly recommended.  White Rose everyone talks about but I didn't like them because it's a big company. So, they interview you and after you sign a contract, they match you up with a DJ that meets your needs. So you don't get to meet the DJ before hand. I don' t know that I would want that.  I've never heard of Fun Factory.  Who was your dj?

We met Dan before our wedding.  We had the initial meeting and then went back to finalize our play list.

I was really impressed with White Rose Entertainment. I just booked with them earlier this week. Very professional and organized. NOT cheesy. Very up front and honest. I was also impressed that they weren't pushy in regard to trying to "sell" us into signing up for extras (lights, having a 2nd DJ, etc). They simply told us about all available options, but didn't make us feel bad for going with the standard package. I'm really excited to work with them! I hadn't spoken with Fun Factory, but I had spoken with Sound Wave - they seemed ok but not as organized as White Rose. HTH!

I just uesd white rose for my wedding 2 weeks ago and have only wonderful things to say about them. We did the dj and anouncer package which I would totaaly recomend if you have the money for it. They really are very organized and detailed with your music selections and at our wedding our guests were having a great time on the dance floor.  But more than just playing music they give you a layout of how your night is going to go and just all around keep things running on schedual.

I personally love fun factory and they were the first vendor I booked right away. They don't go to bridal shows and advertise through word of mouth.. They came highly recommended by my venue's catering manager (she even used them at her wedding last year). I'm using Darrin and hes fun and professional and is one of my favorite vendors. They are a bit more expensive than the other DJs I've heard. Let me know if you want more info.

We didn't book any of the above because of our budget but I am highly partial to White Rose since I have known 3 of the guys who work for them since Middle School. We did meet with them. They are extremely organized and professional.

Our first choice was Liquid Entertainment but they were already booked on our day so we went with White Rose. They are a large company and you don't get to meet with your DJ until after you sign, unless you are going with Dan, but it wasn't a problem for us. We have heard such great reviews from them and we also know that they will have a DJ for us for our wedding, no matter what since they are such a large company. Our third pick was Sound Wave.Hope that helps! GL!

We're using Jay Edwards with Liquid Entertainment... But, like PP said, he books pretty early. I think I booked him back in March for our July 2010 wedding. That being said, he is AWESOME and I can't wait for our wedding to use him!! Good luck :-)

If any of those don't work out, I have a recommendation for a DJ from my friends wedding. He did amazing(!!!) and I wish I would have heard about him earlier in planning, he had practically the entire room on the dance floor.

I Love DJ C Clef from G Clef Productions! He did such a wonderful job at my wedding and has the best prices!! I actually just saw him at an event I was working at IsleWorth this weekend. As usual he did an outstanding job! So professional but not corny as some dj's tend to be. Give him a call! 407-375-2733

We used Steven Paul (from Beyond Sight & Sound). He was very reasonably priced ($700 for 5 hours), and he kept our dance floor hopping all night! He works for himself, which was really important to us, after hearing some of the stories about nightmare DJs. We wanted HIM to DJ our reception, and that's exactly who we got :) We loved his convenience factor too--he has a setup for couples to pay him online. I don't have all my vendor reviews done since I just set up a new computer, but Steven was wonderful! I'd recommend him to anyone :)http://www.beyondsightsound.com
