E-party update!

So, if you remember, 2 weeks ago my mom told 2 of my friends that they were invited to our E-party and that their invites must have gotten lost in the mail, even though they were in fact never invited and mom just assumed that they were. Well, I facebook messaged the girl in the couple and said "Hey! my mom said you never got an invite to the party, but I wanted to make sure you had the info. It's at this address at this day and time! Hope to see you there!". (note: I only facebooked her because that's the only way we really communicate; FI and I seriously only invited close friends and we hardly talk to them).  Well, I never got a reply and needless to say they did not show up at the party. I don't know what to do now. I hope I didn't just lose two friends because of something my mom let slip... I don't know where to go from here. What more can I do?Side note: The party was AMAZING and much better than even I expected. What a wonderful weekend, accept for the pissing off friends part.

I think you handeled the situation well and did all that you could do. It was your moms mistake and you still corrected it. Hopefully your friends will be understanding. If not, I would not even worry about them.

As long as nobody told her that she wasn't supposed to be invited, I don't think she really has anything to be upset about. Stuff gets lost in the mail often enough, and you wrote her to  make sure she had the information, so I think you did all that you can do and she really shouldn't even know that she wasn't going to be invited anyway.Glad you had a great party!
