HELP!!!

I will be getting married December 19th and I can't seem to find a place to have my reception without paying thousands of dollars. Does anyone know a place where I can have a reception at a reasonable price? Thanx

Can you tell us a little bit more about what you're looking for? Also, like pp, I'd want to know if you're looking for 2009 or 2010.

And she posted this on receptions first - she only wants to invite about 50 people.  plattimore....have you thought about a restaurant?  For instance some people have done Maggianos.  Or a local part or community center that might have a room you could use? Those might be cheaper than some other places.  Also - a Friday or Sunday wedding might be cheaper too.

The wedding is this year!! I will only have about 50 people there and I have thought of using some restaurants, but i just don't know which ones would be good places to have a reception at.

a price range would help.  a thousand or 2 just to rent a location is not unheard of and then you have to consider food but you can find cheaper places.  I have heard good things about Maggianos for receptions on I-Drive.  They have a very pretty private area and wonderful food.  For your reception - do you want the full dancing and stuff?  Or are you just looking for dinner.
