They have my BM dress in their store and my deposit on it.  Since my twin sisters wedding is coming up very soon i had to buy off rack. They where holding my dress for alterations since I am 8 months pregnant.  No luck going to the store since they are closed.  Haven't been able to go to the store and them be open or taking calls for a few weeks.  The owner told me the owned Glacie Cakes as well.  I had just placed an order with them for my baby shower in 2 weeks.  Called just now to cancel with them and placed my cake order from cakeprincess.com.  Ugh, I paid half cash and half on my card so it's almost pointless for me to dispute.  Can't even get a dress in time now for my sisters wedding.  Not sure what they did with the dresses since the store is empty with nothing on the racks or anything.

Thankfully my sister ordered an extra dress from butterfly's bridal and that girl has now backed out so I have a dress but it just doesn't fit and can't be altered to fit well since it's 6 sizes to large.  Butterfly's even called me to tell me the same as a PP said.  That they where consolidating and moved my order to their Oviedo store.  Thankfully that's closer to me.

[QUOTE]Hye girls, I did a little more research into this and since Sherry has returned her keys to the property managers in Waterford Lakes, they can now go into the store and obtain your items. You will just need a proof of purchase/recipt and an item number for your merchandise. The number is (407) 830-4888. Hope this helps! :)

Thanks!  I left them a message.  i was always on this board back in 2007 when planning my wedding so I knew to come back to find the answers I needed.  Hopefully there is still stuff there.  Yesterday the racks looked empty.

To all ladies ripped off by her

Document everything and take her to court!!!!!!

I won a gift certificate to her store in February of this year. I was so excited because one of my bridesmaids is broke and couldn't afford her dress. So I took her to go pick out and dress with the gift card. We ordered the dress and the next day, Sherry Baker informed me that I couldn't use the gift certificate due to the fact she had intended to use it for a wedding dress and not a BM dress. However, I am a political scientist and have studied the law for quite sometime - if you do not indicate the terms of use prior to awarding the certificate, then you cannot refuse it. She claimed that her lawyers told her she could refuse. However, within 1 hour of contacting my lawyer, she crumbled like a piece of paper. From that point on, I called each week to get updates on my dresses. I have even had to contest people and my wedding planner bugging her, but to no avail. Every time we called, we got the same thing - "we will call you back" - and they never did.

This woman is a crook and went out of business because she is a bad business woman. I feel so fortunate that I still have time to order my dresses elsewhere.

If you want an amazing place that is also budget friendly to get a dress, I have two places: 1) Lily's Bridal on Colonial - they will bend over backwards for their girls and they have been in business for over 30 years. 2) Carolyn Allens on 5410 Central Florida Parkway. They are a hole in the wall, but the lady who runs it know where everything is, she has a great eye for fashion. And, from what she saves in rent, she passes onto her customers.

Ladies, please take Sherry Baker for everything you can. If will be more than happy to help you.

hey girls!!! Just saw this and saw you were mentioning my experience too so i thought i'd update!! YES! I was waiting up until the last week for my dress. it was awful. they called and said it would be there and when i went the store was closed for good. what an awful experience i had there. my wedding was awesome though, and honestly there is nothing we can do to get our money or our dresses. sherry is a scam artist. i just read all the reviews ppl have written in on the WESH13 article  and it is rediculous.  now glacie cakes is closed, apparently she is hiding out. i just hope she never opens another store. even her ex employees were posting writing about how auwful she was. im so sorry to all you brides who had to deal with this. me? well im just glad i never gave them the 40% balance when they begged me for it a couple weeks ago.  saying it would rush the dress.. yeah right. i offered to rush it in january when i paid 600 dollars and they declined.

go to longs, davids during the week only, or ive heard butterflies is good. and good luck. keep all your documents. and if you have to dispute any CC charges make sure you do it within 90 days of purchase or the CC company cant help you at all.

    Anniversary

Hey ladies, you will love this.
First - Sherry Baker is now being investigated for business fraud for having 5 businesses open and close in a 5 year period.
Second - her savannah grace website is still open!!! If you google the stores name, it comes up and you can go to it.

This woman makes me sick and I hope that she gets whats coming to her

Girls, No! I never got my dress! They called me a week before my wedding saying it would be coming that night. I went and they were closed for fourth of july. And never reopened. Thank goodness I had a backup dress. Apparently Glacie Cakes is now closed too and Sherry is hiding out.....  I am just saying bye bye to my 60% i put down. :(
