License Question

Im getting married on the 16th. My fiance and I have been busy BUT we will go this Friday to get our license.  We didnt do the course so we have to wait the three days. My question is do we get our license that day? Does it come in the mail when the three days are up? Or do we get the license and it says when the date its official  and we can use it? Kinda confused by it. We live in Brevard so i did some basic parts on the kiosk online to make it go quicker when we have to go to the office. I hope everyone gets what im talking about! Am I cutting it close? HELP!!

You will get your license that day, it's just not effective until three days later. At least that's how it worked in OC.

Thanks! I thought so. I just make things harrder then they have to be!!! Im sure its the same in Brevard. My fiance told me that we can always do it the week of!!! Lord help me! BUT we are going this Friday!

Yeah, that's how it works in Volusia too. I'm sure it is the same everywhere. You might want to make sure you bring multiple forms of payment (cash, check, card) since they may only take a certain type. I have heard some places only take cash. GL!

Do both of us have to go up there together? FI is trying to figure out if he needs to take a trip to FL before the wedding weekend.

Yes, you both have to be there, MLH.

I am in Brevard and we just got our license last week...we went to the courthouse on Nieman Ave. and they only take checks by the way...so bring your checkbook, I think it might be that way at all the courthouses. You get it that day! Good luck!
