HELP! Need a pretty church in central FL.

We are looking for a church in the Orlando area to have our ceremony. Obviously, we would be non-members. (We are members of a church, but it's in a really ugly building- looks like a gym!) Anyone have any ideas of a pretty church that allows non-members to get married without lots of crazy hoops to jump through? Any help would be SO appreciated!

It depends. Do you belong to a specific denomination?  I got married at a church I wasn't a member of but I belonged to another church of the same denomination.  That will make a big difference.

Thanks, that is helpful. I am a member of a presbyterian church, so I will focus my search on other presbyterian churches.

Is it weird that my church wants to charge me $750.00 for the ceremony?

First United Methodist Church in Winter Park is gorgeous, and I don't think it matters whether you're a Methodist or not.  You obviously won't get the member discount.  Good luck! :)

Thanks everyone! I will look into those.

Does anyone happen to know if churches will let you have a Sunday afternoon ceremony? We are possibly going to switch from Saturday to Sunday to get the reception venue we want, but we still want a church wedding.

I wouldnt see why they wouldn't but it would make your ceremony late since it would have to be after all the activities for the church are finished.

Most church's don't do Sunday weddings because of all the activities.

As for the church charging you $750 they do have costs for you wedding to be held there. Just think of it as a wonderful donation to the church to be able to hold your beautiful wedding ceremony there with your family and friends. I don't think it is too much to ask for.

I am so glad you posted this because I have been struggling with churches as well.  I love the Masters Touch in Longwood, I even attend service there on Saturdays when the Adventist church rents out from them, but I simply cannot get ahold of anyone there.  They refuse to write me back.  I am going to contact the Methodist church in Winter Park.  Thanks Knotties!
