Tell me about your caterer and menu!

Hi all!  I am pretty new to the board and have just recently dove into planning our wedding with my fiance James!  We are getting married on January 28, 2012 and having our reception at the Winter Park Farmers Market.  We have our first catering consultations next week and we couldn't be more excited to plan a fun menu for our guests!

Tell me who you're using, why you chose them, and what your menu is like....

Nicole :)

We are using Arthur's and they are my venue's exlusive caterer (Casa Feliz).  But this is not why we are using them.  We actually chose Casa Feliz based somewhat on the fact that Arthur's is so, so damn good.

They are on the more expensive end of the spectrum but worth it.  Our menu will consist of tons of options, some of which they are creating alongside my chef fiance.  Whatever they do, I know it will be epic. =)

Can you give us a little more background? For instance, how many people and a ballpark budget? Orlando really has every end of the price spectrum, so this would help narrow down the list.

Also, is there something specific you have in mind?
    Plated or buffet style?
Is there a certain theme (i.e. Indian weddings) that you are going with?

Hey Choco9 ~ So far I've heard nothing but rave reviews regarding Arthurs.  I'm looking forward to meeting with them.

Hi NotColloquial ~ I'm just kinda looking to see what everyone else is doing and who they are using.  But we have approximately 130 people and would like to do a combo of stations and family style service.  I would like our budget to stay lower than $50pp, but if the food is amazing, that is what we are really looking for.

    Thanks!!

We had our wedding at the farmers market too! We used Creation By Chef Aaron out of Sanford. (http://www.creationsbychefaaron.com/) The food was AMAZING and their staff was just as good! Obviously the food might be different but we fed 90 people and had an open bar for less than $4000!! They are totally worth checking out, Chef Aaron use to work for Aurther's.

    The contact is Aimee, 407-328-4242.

I am having my Aunt cater our wedding (Vital Flair Catering) she's out of Orlando and is amazing!! *WAY WAY WAY BETTER THAN AURTHERS!!!  Her prices are competitive but reasonable (though since she's my aunt, it's free for us) We're having a pasta station and a buffet style for the rest - some BBQ sliders, Pork Tenderloin, a few other things - she'll do a drink bar too if you want.

Check out her site and give her a call!!!
