Ceremony locations in Sanford/Lake Mary Area?

Hi everyone!

I have a possible reception location in Sanford (The Women's Club, anyone used them before?), but I'm wondering if any of you have good ideas for ceremony locations in that general area? The Lake Mary Events Center is GORGEOUS but doesn't have my date, and is pretty expensive, and I can't seem to find anything else.

Pretty churches, parks...Suggestions anyone?

My first suggestion when I saw your post was going to be the Lake Mary Events Center.  That is where I am getting married.

FI and have been working with the new Westin on a hotel block.  We went on a tour last weekend and they showed us a beautiful courtyard that they will be using for wedding ceremonies.  Not sure what they would charge for that but it might be worth looking into.

    HTH!!

You mentioned churches. Generally, you need to be of that religion and a member of the parish to get married in a church but I'll mention it anyway.... All Souls Catholic Church in Sanford is a very gorgeous church.  If you are Catholic, you could look into having your wedding there.  You could contact the city office and ask if they have any buildings or parks that they rent out for general public use.

Maybe there's somewhere around Lake Monroe in Sanford that you could hold a ceremony at. That would be nice. They updated the landscape and other areas around there and it looks quite nice now :).

Also.. Don't know if you'd be open to any other places.. But my FI and are getting married at the Lakeside Inn in Mt. Dora. It's gorgeous and Lisa (the coordinator there) is the sweetest and most helpful woman EVER! Just another suggestion for you.

    Good luck! <3

I know I'm a little late to respond, but have you looked in Maitland?  It's not too far from Sanford and there are a few pretty places there.  Lake Lily Park, Quinn Strong Park, Maitland Art Center, Home Builders Association...a few suggestions. All of these have reception sites within walking distance too if you're looking.  :) Hope this helps a little!

Have you looked at the Longwood Historic Center? It's very reasonably priced, and really pretty.
