How much to budget for DJs in Orlando?

Can anyone give me an idea of a range of costs - low to high - in the Orlando area?  Looking for a reasonably priced option!

Thanks!  Who would you recommend on the lower end of that? :)

I have seen some pretty cheap ones right now. Check craigslist. I found one that  was  running a special  for $50 hour   and another who had $200 off  so he would be $400. I also agree with PP $500-$1000 and you can get a great DJ. Good Luck.

I am using Jay Edwards and he is really great! He is super reasonable and knows his stuff! :] GL!

I've heard great things about Jay Edwards too- except he books fast! I missed out on hiring him for my wedding. We went with Power Entertainment for $800 (for both the ceremony and reception). I negotiated this price with them. The first quote was $1000. The DJ missed my cake song, but overall we were happy with them. Our guests didn't notice the mistake and everyone stayed on the dance floor the entire night. Whoever you go with, don't be afraid to negotiate!

FYI, I would be VERY careful with Craigslist!

If you can get Jay before he books, it will be THE BEST thing you could do for your wedding. He is FANTASTIC!

I have DJ and Lighting through Tagas Event & Production (Bryan Taylor the owner will be our DJ). I've heard great things but he is pricey. For him to DJ its $1200 but we were able to negotiate it down to $800 (but also bc we works with our planners so he gave us a discount ontop of that) but the other DJs with Tagas are $900.

When i was looking for a DJ, I noticed the cheaper ones had little or no professional experience.

We ended up booking with Brian Scott from Weddings Only DJ Entertainment. He was a little pricier than we had planned on, but as soon as we met with him, we knew that he would run a very smooth production and we couldn't have imagined going with anyone else. I highly recommend him!

I went with Gigmasters.com. I got a local Orlando DJ for around 425.00 for 4 hours.
