When should I get alterations??

I know Sarah:) told me but my brain is being stupid so when did y'all start getting your alterations?? Also, if anyone is bored and wants to join me that would be lovely as no one has seen my dress (family) besides my lovely fiance who helped me pick it out and I dont want anyone to see it till the big day, including him now, which he has probably forgotten now, except that the beading looks like a starfish...do u see now why i brought him??? LOL :-) gotta love men :-) OH and wish me luck on my finals tomorrow (well technically today) and tuesday! :-) OH and one more thing.. can we plan a GTG that i can actually go to? and preferably something that my back can stand for a little bit? :-) k thanks

I have no idea about alterations... I still haven't thought about mine.  But, GL on your final!!  I feel you on that, mine are next week.

I too wanna G2G that I can go to too.  I wanna meet everyone!  Laughing

I too have no clue about alterations. I still have a while before I have to start looking into that. But, wanted to say Good Luck on your finals!!

I have tons of pics of me trying dresses on on our computer, which I know FI has looked at, but I know he doesn't know which one is mine, doesn't have that "eye" for knowing which is the "one". (Even with the big smile on my face as a dead giveaway)..

I want a G2G that I can come to too!  Hopefully our "G2G" planner can start planning one soon :-)

Eryn, when I talked to Judi and then the seamstress at POB, they both said two months prior was sufficient. I'd come with you since I feel partly responsible for you finding your dress! lol

Lemme know when and where and if you still want company when it comes around! :)

I'll come with you! Do you think you could do it on a Tues or Thurs at the beginning of Jan when we are in-between semesters? 6--8 weeks out is ideal for your fittings!

We could do another Waterford dinner g2g...that works for you, right Eryn?

Pretty Parula- you are the main reason i found my dress!! Without you posting I would have never known!!! :-)  We can do a GTG at my fitting... LOL :-)

    Sarah:) you can come too!

Okay- so lets def do a GTG in waterford! They put in a new pottery place Ive been wanting to go to if anyone wants to do that... or there are tons of restaraunts too! Maybe we should start a poll to see when people have off in december so we can try to plan one :-) Or we can just do one at my house so y'all can see my pretty fluffy marshmallow kitty :-) Im gonna think of a good idea that we can do....off to thinking...

It is suggested 6-8 weeks before the wedding.
