Universal Registry's

Have or are any of you ladies using a Universal Registry.

If so which and what are your thoughts? We need to nail down our plan, as my family is hounding me to buy gifts for the engagement party next month.

I had to google this because I had never heard of it before, but it sounds pretty cool.  Would you do it through Amazon?  I think it's neat to have any on-line store available to you as an option.  The only thing is that some people don't like to shop on-line, so make sure you have some options for people who like to go to the store to pick something out.

We registered with MyRegistry.com and really nobody bought anything off of it. Granted, we also registered at Target, which is a lot easier for people to remember and easier than exlaining what the other website was, so maybe that was my fault for not mentioning it as much when people asked about our registry.

But even with the Target egistry, the online items were barely purchased.

Thanks girls, we are debating with Amazon or Myregistry.com because we want people to understand via our website we prefer $$ for fixing up the house, honeymoon, but we do need/want some things. With 75% of our list from out of town we aren't sure what they would like/prefer/do.

I would think that many people from out of town would probably give cash  without you really having to tell them your preference just because of transporting gifts.  :)

This might not be what you are looking for, but on our wedding website, we did a link to Amazon for Home Depot gift cards.  The link was a Home Depot logo, but it takes you to the option purchasing a HD gift card from Amazon.  We did this in addition to a Bed Bath & Beyond registry.
