When do you send save the dates and Invites-how to rsvp?

So my wedding is 5/27/12 and I'm not sure when I should send out save the dates and invites. We haven't been able to do our e-shoot yet but are doing so this month and would really like to use some pics for that on our save the dates.

Also I'm depating about including an rsvp card or postcard or just asking people to rsvp online at our wedding website. How have you guys done it and what works best.

Thanks!

I am getting married 6/9/12. I already send my STDs because many of guests are from OOT. You can send them anytime. I would send them soon that way they don't get into the holiday mail rush.

The RSVP/POSTCARD idea is for your invite right? If you want them to RVSP online the postcard idea works, but what would happen to people that do not have internet access? (IDK if you have anyone on ur list that doesn't know how to use the internet)

im getting married in feb. we sent our save the dates out about a month or two ago. we plan to send the invite with rsvp stuff the first week of jan (giving 2 months notice). with the holidays we didnt want the invite to get lost or forgotten about. i would send the std as soon as possible, then the invite at the end of feb or march. i would give the online info for people you know have access, if you arent sure then give a stamped envelope for a mailed reply.

Thanks for the Info. Yea we are behind on the STDs and invites because we had issues with our first photographer and had to get a new one and reschedule the e-shoot.

We are also behind on the registery stuff too I think. Ugh there is so much to do and I'm a little overwhelmed. I've never been a bridesmaid before and well I've never planned a wedding before either lol.

Thanks for the help and suppor though.
