Tux Question

I'm trying to figure out what would look best with the tuxes.

My dress is Ivory. 

For the groomsmen, I was thinking either Victorian Lilac or Platinum (silver).  I don't want to put them in lavender because I don't want them to feel emmasculated in a girly color.  The girls will be wearing silver shoes and I might get silver chargers for the tables so there will be some silver accents if we choose the silver vests.  The victorian lilac is a darker purple.  Here is a picture of it:  http://www.sacino.com/index.php?option=com_sfwstyles&view=colors&aid=62. Which do you think would look better?  My fiance is leaning towards the silver because he feels even the darker purple is a little girly. 

For my fiance, do you think it would look better for him to be in a Silver vest and tie or an Ivory vest and tie?

I'd have to say silver as opposed to lilac. I guess the grooms are supposed to stand out from the guys, but I don't really know what looks best for that.

we let our guys pick from a few choices of colors for vests/ties (silver, charcoal, black, deep purple) and they all chose the purple! i was shocked. i guess it's super trendy for dudes right now haha. have you asked them what they want to wear?

oh, and steve wore ivory vest/tie.

I would think the platinum so it won't take away from the girls and from you!  FI and his GM are all wearing this like pale gold and the BM dresses are bronze the two colors really compliment eachother.  FI didn't want to be in something different from everyone else and I don't really care.  His bout will be a little different/larger so he will still have something to distinguish him.  FI went with me and I brought a swatch of the BM dresses and we picked the vests (it only took like an hour bc we couldn't make up our minds!)
