Music for processional....

Hi ladies! I thought I was all good to go with choosing music...but now I am starting to second guess....

Anyways, what are your bridesmaid walking down to?

What are YOU walking down the aisle to?

If you already are married, I'd love to know what you and your BMs used :)

TIA!

One of my very good friends and her husband played violin and guitar for our ceremony. I went back and forth between using jazz and big band music for the ceremony (in keeping with the Old Hollywood vibe of the reception) and using classical pieces. We ended up going with classical.

Family and wedding party processional: Sheep May Safely Graze, Bach
    Me: Cantabile, Paganini
Recessional: The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba, Handel

    Bridesmaids- Canon in D, Pachelbel
Me- Air on the G String, Bach
    Recessional- Hornpipe, Handel

I will have a choir and organist. I chose super traditional music because I like it.  We're doing Pachelbel's Canon for the bridesmaids and Wagner's wedding march for me.  The other songs in the ceremony are not super traditional, however, so it's a mix of both.

LOL, I would hope not! I lot of people died in that movie.   :)  I'm really just a fan of dinosaurs, and the song is really pretty. Not too many people realized where the song was from though. Only one person asked abotu it, haha.

Our mothers and grandmothers walked to Sleepers, Awake!. The girls and clergy walked to Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring. I came in to Canon in D. We all recessed to Ode to Joy.

Note: I was married in a church that required the use of only sacred music so our selection was limited. Just as well - the only thing I may have wanted that I couldn't have was the wedding march and the bridal chorus. Of course, DH and I both have very classic tastes when it comes to wedding music so I'm not much for suggestions if you're looking for contemporary pieces :)
    That's Mrs.skWhitneyAmanda to you!

I'm also very traditional in my wedding music. BMs- canon in D, me- "here comes the bride" (whatever it's called), and recessional is the wedding march.  Howevevr, FI wanted some contemporary feel to the ceremony so guest are being seated in classical instrumental versions of popular songs like "Don't stop believing" or songs by Coldplay. It's kinda cool! The band is called the Vitamin String Quartet. GL!

Yeah I've already downloaded tons of VSQ....I originally was going to use two different songs by then for the processional, but I've changed my mind...I found something that is a bit softer and more "romantic"....

    I'm going with:

    Bridesmaids: The Prayer
    Bride: The Lord's Prayer

Both songs are instrumental versions done by The O'Neill Brothers....The O'Neill Brothers do TONS of instrumental versions of songs (mostly piano it seems) and they do an amazing job!
